I'm so confused!

Eric and I have been trying to conceive now for 2 months. However, I am now a week late. I took a pregnancy test and it is negative. I have several of the signs of pregnancy, but without a positive reading I am so confused. I wish I knew what was going on with my body. So, I just have to wait it out and eventually I will figure out the news. It's just so stressful waiting and wondering.
